Project Details
Catraband is an immersive cat daycare simulation game, where players take care of a variety of cats, ranging from from normal cats to rare mythological and alien species. As an adoption center, your role is to provide the best care, but also serving customers; giving them the correct cat or something close to what they're looking for to increase or decrease your reputation. Can you handle the challenge?

Catraband came with its unique set of challenges, from the scale of the project and the variety of interconnected systems. With the timescale of the project, as a team we overscoped the project, leading to a crunch period which did lead to key systems and mechanics being cut from the final game. While I did provide a strong technical foundation for the cat behaviours and data structures, a lot of miscommunication was made between the team, leading to a lot of rework and technical changes. However, I am proud of the work I did on this project, as I made me realize I have a passion for leading and technical data systems. I look forward to applying the lessons I learned from this project, into future projects.
